6/26: June General Staff Assembly Meeting Highlights

Dear Staff,

We are pleased to provide highlights from our June 2020 General Staff Assembly Meeting. Complete minutes will be posted on the website after they are approved by the Assembly during our July meeting.  If you have any questions, feedback, or would like to have more information, please connect with your school/department Assembly Members or email our office directly.

  • Greg Condell, Vice President of Finance, discussed proposed changes to the 2021 health plans. These proposed changes include adding a new EPO+ plan for out-of-area dependents, changing the prescription specialty drug provider, and planned increases for 2021 premiums.
  • Marisol Marks, Associate Vice President, Strategic Communications, and Kelly Moy, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Programs, updated Staff Assembly on a TrojanLearn training module and Trojan Check, a web-based health monitoring application, for all employees returning to work on campus. Employee access to ergonomic evaluations during remote work was also discussed.
  • Staff Assembly voted in favor of resolution 19/20-02 (Memorialize USC Staff Assembly as an official body within the University’s shared governance system). This resolution will be sent to senior administration next week.
  • Staff Assembly voted to approve a remote voting protocol. This amendment to our Standard Operating Procedures will allow us to vote via secured Qualtrics surveys to ensure business continuity.
  • Staff Assembly approved a communication in support of Black staff, students, and faculty.

Until we meet again,
