We’re excited to share that USC Hospitality has introduced EatWell meals! These specially-curated offerings fit within a set of nutritionally-balanced guidelines developed by the USC Hospitality’s Registered Dietitian (RD) Lindsey Pine with input from other RDs, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2020-2025, the Culinary Institute of America’s Menus of Change, and guidelines from other universities. The guidelines focus on reducing calories from saturated fat, added sugar, and trans fats, along with other criteria to help make healthier dining on campus easy. Special thanks to the the USC Healthy Campus EatWell subcommittee, from which the idea was born to make smart dining choices even easier at USC!
To try the healthy and delicious meals for yourself, look out for the EatWell logo on campus dining menus, ordering kiosks, and the campus dining app, and to learn more about EatWell meals, visit the USC Hospitality website. If you have any questions, please email Julie Chobdee, MPH, associate director of health & well-being program at USC WorkWell Center. Chobdee can be reached at jchobdee@usc.edu.
