The Provost’s office is pleased to announce that Mindful USC’s mindfulness and compassion classes are now open for Spring enrollment and are free for all USC students, faculty, staff and alumni. Mindfulness and compassion practices are an invaluable aspect of both individual and community wellbeing, and can offer a deep wellspring of groundedness, stability and support in times of stress, anxiety, and difficulty.

These qualities will be in great demand in the coming months. In addition to ongoing global and local challenges, the Trojan community will now face new challenges posed by the California wildfires. Often, however, times of stress make us reach for resources we may never have sought out otherwise. In Mindful USC, we have a great opportunity to expand our capacities for resilience together, learning skills to manage stress and increase clarity, kindness, and joy – all while fostering a deeper sense of connection with ourselves and to others. Each of the classes, mini-retreats and drop-in groups offered are designed to provide a safe, calming space for members of our community to process emotions, build resilience and learn new skills for navigating life’s ever-emerging complexities, through body, heart, and mind.

We encourage the Trojan community to embrace this opportunity to engage with mindfulness and compassion practices as powerful tools for healing, well-being, and refuge. All are welcome to join us in finding moments of stillness and strength, compassion and community together.

Classes are free and do fill up quickly. You may sign up for Mindful USC classes HERE.
