In honor of the Juneteenth holiday, Keck Medicine of USC has organized a number of events to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved Black people in the United States. Juneteenth is considered the longest-running African American holiday and has also been referred to as America’s second Independence Day.

Hosted by Keck Medicine’s B.L.A.C.K. Med employee resource group, the health system’s Juneteenth celebrations will take place at the Health Sciences Campus, USC Arcadia Hospital, and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.
