The elections are upon us and the USC Staff Assembly encourages all staff to get out and VOTE! The USC Village Vote Center will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5th.
Remember that California employers must give an employee up to two hours of paid time off to vote if the employee is scheduled to be at work during that time and the employee does not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote. Employers must provide this time off for voting “only at the beginning or end of the regular working shift, whichever allows the most free time for voting and the least time off from the regular working shift, unless otherwise mutually agreed.”
Please coordinate with your supervisor and team to ensure you have sufficient time to vote. Your voice matters!
